How Does A PDO Thread Lift Work?
Dr. Quintanilla will assess your skin during your initial consultation at Desert Medical Rejuvenation to customize a treatment plan that meets your objectives.
For your comfort, application of a local numbing agent precedes the thread lift; a fine needle is then used to pull the threads from one part of your face to another, tugging on them to create a lifted look. The procedure takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes and is virtually pain free. The results are immediate !!
You will notice an immediate lift of the area, whether it's the face, the neck, the nose, the brow, the jowls or any other body area; that lift is followed by collagen formation for the next 12 - 18 months, which is the usual duration of results.
You may experience minor soreness and swelling after your session, but this usually goes away within a few days. Your rejuvenated appearance will improve over the next 3-6 months as your skin's collagen develops, and after 12 – 18 months, the threads will dissolve into your skin.
Although the procedure is generally comfortable, for those patients with very high levels of anxiety or low levels of tolerance to pain, we offer the use of PRO-NOX®, a device that delivers a mixture of inhaled Oxygen/Nitrous which numbs the patient's sensations for several minutes, enough to allow the doctor to complete the procedure. The patient recovers 100% at the end of the procedure.

This is the BEST medical spa in the Valley- hands down.
