Our office is pleased to perform microneedling in Rancho Mirage, CA using the ECLIPSE® MicroPen EVO, an FDA cleared hand piece that is attached to a disposable sterile cartridge with ultra fine needles to safely and effectively create microchannels in the skin, which prompt the body's natural production of collagen and elastin, two nutrients that improve skin texture, tightening and tone. Easily performed with hyaluronic acid serum, vitamin serums or PRP (platelet-rich plasma), microneedling can help minimize fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks, and enlarged pores.

How Does Microneedling Work?
A microneedling treatment is performed in a private treatment room for about 30-40 minutes after topical numbing prior to procedure; patients generally report little or no discomfort. The skin being treated will be cleaned before the Eclipse® MicroPen EVO is passed evenly over, which is designed to give our medical provider optimal control in delivering a precise depth of penetration into the skin. During or after the procedure, a topical treatment, like hyaluronic acid serum, vitamin infused serums or PRP (platelet-rich plasma) will be applied so those nutrients can penetrate deeper into the skin for desirable effects.
Upon completion of the procedure, the end result is a mild to moderate sunburn like reaction; either a soothing moisturizer or PRP will be massaged in along with UV protection since the treated skin will be more sensitive after the procedure.
Although the procedure is generally comfortable, for those patients with very high levels of anxiety or low levels of tolerance to pain, we offer the use of PRO-NOX®, a device that delivers a mixture of Oxygen/Nitrous which numbs the patient's sensations for several minutes, enough to allow the doctor to complete the procedure. The patient recovers 100% at the end of the procedure.

Updated 10/5/22. I have been a patient of Dr. Quintanilla for several years and have left several stellar reviews about his work and the professionalism of his staff. I recently had micro-needling, Pixel 8, and Erbium laser. I feel there are so many cosmetic procedures on the market that it is hard to pick and choose what is best for yourself. Dr. Quintanilla is an expert- in my opinion - in choosing what is best for you. He is conservative -yet the results are beautifully noticeable. For the many years I have been a patient, I have received so many compliments on my skin- so many questions about what I do and where I go for treatment. By adding newer treatments such as micro-needling, I have noticed such a difference in my wrinkles-pigmentation, and overall appearance of my skin. My skin is now ‘plump’ and younger looking- the additional service is so worth it! It is very easy to make an appt with the office. Dr. Quintanilla explains every detail. I never feel pressured to do anything additional- in fact , Dr. has even told me ‘no’ if I get too excited about services. This is how a patient knows they have met the right Dr. and staff. I recently had Sabrina do a micro needling treatment on my face and it has changed my life. The results are incredible. My face is smooth, free of any scarring/pigmentation and ‘plump’. It did not hurt and I had down time of maybe a day- I have sensitive skin and was cautious not to go out into the sun. As a testimony- I recently saw a business colleague that had not seen me since COVID~ and he asked what I had been doing to my skin commenting that I looked so much younger! Wow —what a nice compliment! I highly recommend you go see Sabrina and book a session. They always have specials to help with the budget. I also continue to see Dr. Quintanilla for my Botox/Dysport and fillers. I have been seeing him regularly for over 2 years. He is so talented and conscientious. I never feel ‘up sold’ or rushed. He literally maps out a plan for your areas of concern and discusses your options. He will do a little work or a lot- within discretion. He has ‘beautiful hands’ and I would never go anywhere else.
