Dr. Art Quintanilla uses the FDA cleared and registered device SPECTRUM® IPL from US based manufacturer Rohrer Aesthetics, Inc., which is a device that sends intense pulses of light energy to warm the skin just enough to set off the natural regeneration process and increase collagen production. In time, you should see a healthier complexion with an improved tone, improved wrinkles, faded veins and capillaries, improved pigmentation and acne clearing. IPL is also a well known medically effective method to treat Rosacea with impressive results.
How Does IPL Work?
The IPL PHOTOFACIAL procedure is done inside our Rancho Mirage, CA office in about 20 – 30 minutes in one of our treatment rooms. To prepare for the treatment, Dr. Quintanilla will wash and dry your skin before covering your eyes with special protective eyewear. The IPL is administered using a handheld device that will pass over the skin while emitting light energy pulses. Most patients tolerate the procedure very well, some patients will have a fast pinching sensation with very limited discomfort throughout the IPL, it is generally bearable, given the quick treatment length. There is no need for numbing, injections or incisions. The end result is a warm and mild sunburn like appearance of the treated area. NO downtime is required. The clearing of age spots, veins, acne and wrinkles will take 3-4 weeks and usually 3 treatments ae required. Visit our specials page for our treatment packages.

Updated 10/5/22.I have been a patient of Dr. Quintanilla for several years and have left several stellar reviews about his work and the professionalism of his staff. I recently had micro-needling, Pixel 8, and Erbium laser. I feel there are so many cosmetic procedures on the market that it is hard to pick and choose what is best for yourself. Dr. Quintanilla is an expert- in my opinion - in choosing what is best for you. He is conservative -yet the results are beautifully noticeable. For the many years I have been a patient, I have received so many compliments on my skin- so many questions about what I do and where I go for treatment. By adding newer treatments such as micro-needling, I have noticed such a difference in my wrinkles-pigmentation, and overall appearance of my skin. My skin is now ‘plump’ and younger looking- the additional service is so worth it!It is very easy to make an appt with the office. Dr. Quintanilla explains every detail.
